Dee,
I hope you don't mind me posting John Eddleman's info here.
John Eddleman bull ropes (www.jwebullropes.com) toll free 1-877-248-7673. He makes highly professional "custom" bull ropes at others' base prices. He has no hidden charges and no shipping charge. If you call him, please tell him Matt Myers sent you. He is sponsoring one of my bull riders and I need to let him know I am doing my part.
Thank you so very much for your time and space,

John no longer offers a leather wearstrip. My sponsored bull rider is having trouble with his leather wearstrip getting "fethched up" (his words) and being hard to pull. I am having trouble with the two that I have doing the same thing. He now offers your choice of chute cord colors braided into the wearstrip at NO EXTRA CHARGE. He has a limited color selection on hand, but I just saw on his website that he would be glad to order specific colors for your sliding keepers, you just need to ask him to do so. This will make your rope more personal to you. If you are interested in a rope, but would like to see an Eddleman first hand, let me know where you practice or even jackpot and if it is possible for us to make it there we would be more than happy to show off our ropes. I ride left handed and my sponored rider rides right, so you will have to hand choices to look at. They will both be BIG Block ropes, but once you ride with an extreamly stury Big Block rope you won't want to use a regular/standard block again. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Thank you for your time and thank you Dee for the space, Matt Myers

John now offers your name in leather on the tie in end (opposite side of the handle from the block) which is an awesome personal touch. I will post pics of mine to show what I mean.
I went to a buck out last week and the Eddleman ropes (honest I am being very truthful here) were the best ropes there out of about 30 or so riders, hands down. I had everyone coming over and wanting to know how to get one. Luckily I had business cards on hand...LOL
I edited this post for spelling 3-22-08

That is the most gorgeous bull rope I've ever seen! Can you customize color of you own choice?

Cherrybomb,
I just got this email from John today. If you need to contact him just go to his website and his contact info is there. I willpost pics of his blocks and handles for you as well.
This info would go for anyone interested in an Eddleman "Custom" rope.
"let me know what colors she wants and I'll do some test samples to make sure it will take the dye. I can dye the block side wraps, handle lacing and return name plate leather and the side wrap leather for the name plate. color choices on sliders and wear strip nylon can be almost unlimited and I can order in a color if I don’t have it on hand. the dyed leather work will be included for the cost of the name plate and concho at only $20.00 added to the rope. this can be added to any on my bull ropes"

He braids his handle extremely even. In fact I haven't seen any rope as even as any of the Eddleman ropes I have owned or seen, very meticulous in his work.

I really do like everything I see about his ropes. Right now I am not looking for one, in a couple months I will be competing. So I will save some of my prize money to buy another and use the one I've got now for practice. I really am interested for a future purchase from him.
Again Matt, your rope is extremly nice.
