Hey Ya'll
The idea has come to mind to me and a couple of experienced cowboys from Dornsife that we should have a school or a clinic there Spring of 2009. But in order to do this we would have to have enough riders to make it worth while. Now been thinking, remember this is still in extremely early stages and its really still just in the thought processes but I was curious to see how many ladies/gents alike that could POSSIBLY, or would possibly be interested in coming to this school/clinic in Dornsife PA. We also have considered that the expense of this event should stay very reasonable because of the falling economy, so were thinking maybe $150-175 for Friday, Sat, Sun. Just to give you an idea.
What do you think? Can I see a show of names of people who'd be interested. Just INTEREST, possible head count for now would really give us an idea if this could be possible.
Thanks for ya help folks.
~Dee

$150 to $175 is kind of alot of money right now though. The guy my dad is talking to says he won't charge much, but the lessons will be top notch (my dad's words not mine). Plus I think This Dornsife place is going to be a bit far for me. I live in the western part of the state.

Hey AmyLynn,
$150-175 isnt expensive at all for a rodeo school. Alotta work goes into one of these schools and there worth it. A Lyle Sankey school coasts about $300 dollars, and almost two years ago I went to alil school in Attica NY taught by the Swearingen brothers that coast me $275 and it wasnt that great. The cowboys that'll be teaching this school have been on 1000s of bulls. You make the call, but becareful, I know the guy your dads talkin to. The rope braiders name is John Eddleman, he'll make you a nice rope, one of the best maybe, but it'll coast you too.

It sounds awesome but I HIGHLY doubt I would be able to make it. Amylnn 150-175 is cheap compared to hundreds ususally ($400 and up) and in some cases thousands of dollars.
I'm without a job and having financial trouble, :x but the clinic is a ways off so who knows.

This is still in the thought process, I dont have any details yet because there isnt any. I needed to see how many people would consider it is all before we went to any extent of trying to organize this.

I would be interested in coming up if this works out, but I'd pretty much just be coming out to support everyone and to record the rides so people could have video or picture of their rides to learn from. Depending on how things work out I would be happy to help riders out by sharing travel expenses (If I'm going anyway I could pick up a few people along the way) But I'm not a rider, which is who this really is for.

Hey Heather, Like I have been saying things look pretty bleak for me right now but if they change I will be happy to share travel expenses with you. Here's to wishful thinking.
